Aggie Super Circuit Candids and Results

Competitors celebrated a fun Easter weekend at Texas Quarter Horse Association's circuit and Level 1 Championships qualifier.

While the Aggie Super Circuit offered serious competition, including Texas' state qualifier for the 2015 AQHA Level 1 Championships, there was still some fun to be had April 2-5 at the Brazos Expo Center. Exhibitors enjoyed several parties and fun Easter festivities, and competitors traveled from far away as California, Massachusetts and Ontario, to attend the Bryan, Texas, circuit managed by Mark Harrell Horse Shows.

Novice Champion of Champions classes ran concurrent with Aggie Super Circuit classes, and the top three exhibitors in each of the following classes earned a state qualification to the 2015 AQHA Level 1 Championships: halter geldings, halter mares, performance halter geldings, performance halter mares, showmanship, horsemanship, western pleasure, western riding, trail, reining, hunter under saddle, and hunt seat equitation.

Class entries were healthy across the board, with some of the largest classes being:

  • Senior trail – 47 (S/C 1), 40 (S/C 2)
  • Level 1 amateur showmanship – 20 (S/C 1), 20 (S/C 2)
  • Level 1 amateur horsemanship – 20 (S/C 1), 17 (S/C 2)
  • Select amateur horsemanship – 20 (S/C 1), 13 (S/C 2)
  • Ranch riding – 14 (S/C 1), 19 (S/C 2)
