Would you like to cover shows for AQHA? Find out how to see your horse-show photos featured on AQHA’s website and social media.
September 9, 2016
Do you have a passion for horse-show photography? Would you love nothing more than to see your photos featured on aqha.com? This year, The American Quarter Horse Journal is giving AQHA exhibitors and show managers the chance to submit show coverage from their favorite events.
It works like this:
- If there’s an AQHA-approved show you’re headed to, and you’d like to submit coverage for it, shoot an email to AQHA Internet Editor Tara Matsler at email@example.com.
- Snap high-quality photos at the show. These can be in-the-ring photos and around-the-show candids. Make sure you get approval from the official show photographer and/or show management to shoot photos.
- Send the photos and a brief write-up to firstname.lastname@example.org after the show.
Coverage will be featured on the Showing page of aqha.com and in the Journal’s weekly e-newsletter that goes to all exhibitors. The Journal promotes show coverage via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest, so rest assured, the world’s going to see your work!
