More than 300 awards were presented January 28-29 during the Wisconsin Quarter Horse Association awards banquet and convention in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. 

Awards were presented to the WQHA and WQHA open show high-point and reserve class winners from the 2016 show season, as well as the high-point Horse, youth booster, sportsmanship, 200- and 300-point champions and All-around champions.

The WQHA Hall of Fame inductions were: John and Scharleen Schmahl of New Holstein, Wisconsin; Rick Skelly of Janesville, Wisconsin; the 1987 gelding Scotchs Legend; and the 1983 gelding Time To Cash In.

The WQHYA youth officers recognized the future of the industry in a special presentation at which trophies and photo collages were awarded to each lead-line exhibitor.
