The 2018 edition of the AQHA Region One Championships kicked off August 9 with a Level 1/Rookie show. The Regional Championship then got underway August 10 at the Evergreen State Equestrian Park in Monroe, Washington.

The weather cooperated throughout the show, giving exhibitors the chance to the indoor, outdoor and covered arenas.

On Friday evening, the show hosted free dinner and auction to the benefit of the AQHA Region One Scholarship Fund. The evening raised $10,000, putting the total fund at $191,000 and very close to the group's second funded scholarship. Once the show's finances close in the coming weeks, Region One will have a better idea of how much money was raised in total for their fund. All profits from the show benefit the scholarship account.
