On September 20-23, the Region Two Championship welcomed 224 horses and their exhibitors to the Central States Fairgrounds in Rapid City, South Dakota.

In addition to offering 153 classes, Region Two invited exhibitors to participate in a variety of fun activities. Chris Jensen instigated a stick horse challenge with the help of Rocky Mountain College students who volunteered at the show. Scott Flach and Becky Johnson sponsored a party for Region Two youth, including fun games and a taco bar. For working cow enthusiasts, Team Wrangler facilitated a clinic with AQHA Professional Horseman Luke Jones. The clinic attracted a large attendance and offered insightful tips on competing in this division.

The show also included the presentation of the Don Brunner Grit and Perseverance Award, which was awarded to the late Jeff Jundt. Jeff’s parents, Don and Virgie Jundt, and his sister, Cindy, accepted the award in his honor.
