Don Mundy Dies

Services are announced for Don Mundy, husband of AQHA Professional Horsewoman Karen Evans Mundy, who died December 20.

Don Mundy died December 20, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, William E. Mundy and Willie Mae Mundy, and sister Patricia Mundy Lazenby.

Don leaves his best friend and loving wife of over 30 years, AQHA Professional Horsewoman Karen Evans Mundy, his brother Charles Ray Mundy, sister-in-law Marcia Foster Mundy, nephews Russell and Lee Mundy, his sister Betty Jo Mundy Smith and many more beloved nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.

Don graduated from Madison High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University and University of Tennessee-Knoxville. He worked for many years in his family's business, Mundy Builders. And most recently as partner with his wife in Mundy Quarter Horses.

Don deeply loved his wife, family and their puppy children, "Mattie" and "Carley." He was a kind soul who always made people laugh and was always upbeat with a smile on his face. Don will be deeply missed by everyone that had the fortune to know him.

The memorial service for Don Mundy will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 24, at Mount Olivet Funeral Home, located at 1101 Lebanon Pike in Nashville. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on December 23, and at 10 a.m. the morning of the service.
