Brian Fulton Dies

Funeral services are pending for the longtime rancher and speed horse breeder.

AQHA Ranching Heritage Breeder and longtime rancher Brian Fulton died August 28 at a hospital in Valentine, Nebraska.

Services are pending.

Brian’s professional rodeo career included 12 all-around cowboy titles and trips to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo as a tie-down roper and steer wrestler.

He was the 1996 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association reserve champion steer wrestler. Brian and his horse, Mr Bar None Cactus, were on the cover of the June 1996 Journal.

From Fulton Performance Horses ranch near Valentine, Brian and his wife, Lisa, stand A Streak Of Fling, the sire of the 2011 year-end high-point junior horse Streakin Boon Dox.

Since 2006, Brian has battled brain cancer.

Survivors include Lisa and their three sons, John Lloyd, Jared and Jake.
