The excitement is building in Lake St. Louis, Missouri, for the Missouri Quarter Horse Association Gateway Classic and the return of the Solid Gold Futurity.
The Missouri Quarter Horse Association welcomes everyone Memorial Day weekend for their six-judge AQHA show offering something for everyone, including over-fences classes. In addition, held in conjunction with the show, is the Solid Gold Futurity. The newly revamped program is excited about their innovative classes. Their maiden yearling halter slot classes – for colts, fillies and geldings – are nearly sold out. Jennifer Sheriff, program manager, is also very excited about the performance classes being offered. They include maiden horse classes for 3-&-over in open/intermediate western pleasure rider, limited rider, non-pro and two hunter under saddle classes for open and non-pros.
During the AQHA show, the Missouri youth will be sponsoring a Friday exhibitor party with an additional party planned for Saturday. Open trail is leveled to provide more opportunities for those exhibitors. Add in the circuit awards, high-point awards and a full slate of Equestrians With Disabilities classes – you need to mark your calendars and head toward the Arch! For those Level 1 exhibitors, a show just for you follows at the facility on Monday, May 29.
