Year-End Statistics, Leaders List

Learn more about the annual race to the AQHA year-end high-point awards.

It’s no easy feat to stand at the top of the heap at the end of a long show season. That’s exactly why every year AQHA recognizes hard-hauling individuals and their American Quarter Horses.

To keep owners and riders abreast of their standings in the AQHA year-end race, The American Quarter Horse Journal tracks performance statistics mined from the AQHA database. Every month, the latest standings are tabulated and presented in the Journal.

The annual American Quarter Horse Association Awards Celebration is slated for November 11, 2018, at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, and will be held in conjunction with the 2018 Lucas Oil AQHA World Championships. The AQHA Awards Celebration honors the 2017 Level 3 open, amateur and Equestrians With Disabilities year-end high-point winners; Justin Boots Intermediates of the Year (30-&-Under, 31 to 49 and Select); exhibitor of the year; Don Burt Professional Horseman of the Year; AQHA Professional Horsewoman of the Year; and Most Valuable Professional awards.

The 2017 youth year-end high-point winners will continue to be recognized during the Parade of Teams at the 2018 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City.
