Jack Sorenson is entering his 43rd year as a full-time Western artist. His work has appeared on the covers of more than seven dozen magazines including Western Horseman, Beef, The Cattleman, The Quarter Horse Journal" and America’s Horse. Feature articles on his work have been published in Southwest Art, Persimmon Hill, Western Horseman, Western Art Collector and many more.
He has been one of Leanin’ Tree greeting cards top artists for many years. His work has appeared on numerous products, including jig-saw puzzles, bedding, tile murals and even a paint-by-number kit. Harvest House Publishing has released two books featuring Jack’s paintings. In July 2009, the Texas legislature passed a resolution to honor him “For His Professional Achievements.” He has also been immortalized in his beloved Palo Duro Canyon when the park named a peak after him -“Sorenson Point.”
