Karen Bakke started drawing at the age of 13 taking art as a “slider” class, which led to 19 years as a graphic designer, before focusing exclusively on fine art in 1995. A prolific artist and muralist, accomplished in oil, acrylic and watercolor, she has earned a solid reputation in her field.
Her longing for adventure, variety and knowledge reflects her obsession for creating art.
Painting horses has been the highlight of her career, capturing their spirit and personality through meticulous attention to the eyes, and often incorporating the horse’s hair into the painting.
