The vast prairies of North Dakota have served as an inspiration for the many paintings of Kaye Burian. Living on and owning Lazy 77 Ranch has an obvious influence on her art. They raise red and black Angus cattle and have working American Quarter Horses. One of her horses is featured in a painting for the America’s Horse in Art Show; other paintings represent scenes from working cattle at the ranch.
Kaye was honored with the 2013 America's Horse in Art Steel Dust Award. Her work has been featured in America's Horse, Southwest Art, Western Art Collector, as well as at Greenwich Workshop. Kaye’s art was accepted in the Mountain Oyster Club Western Art Show & Sale, Tucson.
Kaye is a long time member of the American Quarter Horse Association and has always ridden a Quarter Horse whether showing or participating in rodeo.
