The vast prairies of North Dakota have served as an inspiration for the many paintings of Kaye Burian. Living on their ranch, Lazy 77 Ranch, surrounded by red and black angus cattle and working quarter horses, Kaye finds it easy to learn about the anatomy of the animals and the everyday workings of the ranch cowboy.
Her favorite time of the year is spring when she can be out among the new born calves and saddle up a horse that has stood way too long waiting for the snow to leave and get back to work. Everything provides inspiration and ideas for new works of art.
Kaye was honored with the 2013 America's Horse in Art Steel Dust Award. Her work has been featured in America's Horse, Southwest Art and Western Art Collector.
Her paintings are represented by The Plainsman Gallery, Dunedin, Florida, and Montana Furniture and Mercantile, Bismarck, North Dakota.
