America's Horse in Art-Versatility and Art Field Trip
Thanks to an overwhelming response to this field trip, we are completely booked!
If you plan to participate in the Youth Art Show, you will also want to make an effort to join us on October 2 & 3, 2017 for this art-focused field trip (for middle school and high school students). We have invited three artists from our current exhibit, America's Horse In Art, to lead discussion on art techniques and how to accurately depict an animal, such as the Quarter Horse, in art. They will share their tips and tricks on how they were able to pursue an art career.
In order to ensure students have adequate time with the artists and have a valuable experience, we have scheduled the following time allotments:
- 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
- 10:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
- 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- The maximum number of students in each time slot is 90.
We will also offer free admission to this art-focused field trip, which has been made possible with funding from our friends at the Josephine Anderson Charitable Trust. We do have funding available on a first-come basis to help cover transportation costs. Please contact the Museum for more information.
