Host your event at the Hall of Fame & Museum!

The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum is an excellent choice for a wedding reception, retirement party or holiday event. Below is a list of the areas in the museum available for rental, as well as the types of events usually hosted in that room.

$5,000- Grand Hall, Second level, Scharbauer Gallery, Johnny and Jana Trotter Classroom & Ken and Laina Banks Theater

  • Grand Hall has been the back drop of many large events, with 200 to 300 guests. Events often hosted in this area are weddings, receptions, banquet dinners, and lectures. This area is only available for events after 5pm, Monday through Saturday.

$2,500 - Scharbauer Gallery & Johnny and Jana Trotter Classroom

  • The gallery and classroom can host a variety of events such as banquet dinners (Max 120), lectures (100) or large company meetings. This room is equipped with AV amenities and is available for daytime and after-hours events, but not available during certain exhibits or installations.

$1,500 - Ken and Laina Banks Theater

  • The theater is often used to host small group dinners (40 guests), training seminars (40 classroom style seating) or lectures (75 theater style seating). This room is equipped with AV amenities, and is available for daytime or after-hours events.

 

As a benefit for renting an area in the facility, you will receive a complimentary membership to Friends of the Museum.

Frequently Ask Questions

  • When can I have an event at the museum?
    The Grand Hall and the Theater can be used only Monday through Saturday during the times stated above. The Classroom and Gallery will not be available during special exhibits. Rentals must be made at least one month in advance. No rental will be scheduled on major holidays or when the museum has a scheduled event. Call the museum for more information.
  • How do I reserve dates?
    Rental of the Grand Hall, Theater, Classroom and Gallery for private events must be confirmed and paid in full 1 month prior to requested date.
  • What are my catering options?
    You may select your own caterer.  A list of caters who are familiar with our facility is available upon request. We do not provide linens.
  • Is alcohol or tobacco allowed?
    Alcohol may be served by servers who have completed the TABC Approved Seller/Server Training Schools. All TABC licenses must be sent to the Hall of Fame prior to the event to be submitted to insurance. Alcohol is not permitted outside the building. The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum, American Quarter Horse Foundation and the American Quarter Horse Association are not responsible for any accidents or incidents related to alcohol consumed during your private event at the Hall of Fame. Museum security is hired for every event where alcohol is served.  
    There are designated smoking areas outside the building. All smoking products or devices, such as a vapor cigarette, are not allowed inside the facility.
  • Are there any restrictions on decorations?
    Due to the priceless nature of the Museum’s artifacts, all decorations must be approved by reservation staff.
    • Museum exhibits and décor shall not be moved by the Renter.
    • Due to excessive cleanup requirements, glitter, confetti, sand and other similar substances are not permitted in the Museum.
    • Burning candles are not permitted.
    • Visual aids may not be affixed to the walls
