Eight distance specialists, headed by early favorite Shockinglyfamous, are entered in Saturday's 870-yard, $50,000 Devil His Due Stakes at Lone Star Park.

A 6-year-old son of One Famous Eagle trained by Kasey Willis for owners Stone Chase Stables LLC and Alexia Willis, Shockinglyfamous is coming off of a third-place finish, three-quarters of a length behind winner Dance The Dust Off, in the October 22, $108,000 Cox Ranch Distance Challenge Championship (G1) at Horseshoe Indianapolis. The stallion's three wins in seven starts at the 870-yard distance include the June 18, $53,000 Jesse Yoakum Memorial Stakes (R) for Texas-breds at Sam Houston Race Park.

Shockinglyfamous drew post 3 and will be ridden by Cody Wainscott.

Other contenders include Blue Star Racing's Dak, a 6-year-old Dominyun gelding trained by Toby Keeton and a multiple 550 stakes winner. Making his first start at the 870-yard trip at Lone Star Park on October 15, Dak scored a three-quarter length victory in an allowance-optional claiming ($20,000) race.

Dak drew post 4 and will be ridden by Francisco Calderon.
