The Idaho Quarter Horse Racing Association – Racing Division recognized its year-end champions this past weekend.

The champions were led by Scoops Dynasty, a 2019 brown gelding by FDD Dynasty out of the Dashin Bye mare Bye Sweet Girl. He is bred and owned by Edward J. and Von Zae McNelis, and last year won the Los Alamitos Winter Derby (G1) and Golden State Derby (G2) and was second in the Los Alamitos Super Derby (G1). He won six of seven starts on the year and earned $371,460.

They inducted two individuals into the IQHA Racing Division Hall of Fame. The human inductee was champion jockey Cody Jensen, who retired in 2019 from a career that saw his mounts earn more than $41.9 million. Joining him as the equine representative was AQHA Supreme Race Horse BH Lisas Boy, who earned $963,053 while winning or placing in 36 of 43 career starts for breeder and owner Bill Hoburg.
