July 16, 2014
Displays for the 2014 induction class of the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame were unveiled July 15 in a special ceremony that honored those inductees at the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum in Amarillo.
Four men were inducted in March during the 2014 AQHA Convention: Leroy Webb, AQHA Past President Ken Mumy, the late A.B. Green and Donald “Curly” Smith. Five horses joined them: Leo San, Miss T Stuart, Mr Bar None, Mr Conclusion and Dashingly.
On July 15 at the Hall of Fame, special display cases for the class of 2014 were draped with black curtains until AQHA Executive Vice President Don Treadway Jr. made opening remarks. The drapes were pulled, and the inductees, their families and connections were invited to take the first look at the displays.
The special displays will remain up for a year at the Hall of Fame in Amarillo, then the artifacts will be moved to the permanent display cases.
