Currently, the federal government has filed a motion to seize about 700 trophies that Crundwelll won during horse competitions, show clothing, and other assets to continue toward making restitution for the $54 million that Crundwell stole from the town of Dixon, Illinois, while she was employed as the town’s comptroller.
The federal government sometimes catches criticism from folks in the hinterlands. However, the feds have really delivered for Dixon, (Illinois) from the investigation and prosecution of Rita Crundwell's wrongdoing, through their work in forfeiture and restitution. In the latest news on forfeiture efforts regarding disgraced Dixon ex-Comptroller Rita Crundwell, we see, once again, the handiwork of the federal government on behalf of its citizens.
