AQHA Selects Witt/Kieffer for Chief Foundation Officer Search

AQHA selected Witt/Kieffer to lead the search for the next chief officer of the American Quarter Horse Foundation.

AQHA has selected Witt/Kieffer to lead the search for its new chief foundation officer.

The American Quarter Horse Association has selected Witt/Kieffer, a leading executive search firm, to lead the search for its new chief foundation officer. Witt/Kieffer Senior Partner Gregory Santore and consultant Jennifer Biehn will lead the search.

The chief foundation officer will direct the American Quarter Horse Foundation, the philanthropic branch of AQHA in achievement of its mission, which seeks to advance the American Quarter Horse and the partnership it shares with man primarily through the development of funds and programs designed to preserve and interpret the history and modern uses of the breed; support the educational advancement of the industry’s youth; protect and enhance the physical well-being of all equines; and promote the American Quarter Horse’s capacity to provide physical and emotional benefits to individuals in need.

“We are looking for a candidate who will maintain strong communications and relationships with an impactful donor base that will allow the Foundation to grow sustainably over the years,” said AQHA Executive Vice President Craig Huffhines.

"Witt/Kieffer understands the culture and goals of AQHA and the tremendous influence that it has on the equine community,” said Santore. “We are confident we will see great interest in this position and recruit an exceptional leader who brings energy and vision to the role.”

No official timeline has been established for completing the search, though AQHA and Witt/Kieffer are already working aggressively to identify a talented and diverse pool of candidates for the position.
