AQHA’s 75th Anniversary
AQHA is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. In this YouTube video, Past AQHA Executive Vice President Don Treadway Jr. shares a bit of history about AQHA’s founding.

Coy’s Bonanza
The story goes that in 1959, when breeder Bill Coy first saw his sorrel colt, he ran to the house shouting to his wife, “We’ve struck a bonanza!” That statement rang true for Coy’s Bonanza (Jaguar-Sparky Joann by Littlejoethewrangler), who started on the racetrack, then was shown at halter, winning the 1963 AQHA high-point stallion award, later returning to the racetrack to earn his AAA rating.
