AQHA Named Third In Association TRENDS Social Media Rankings

AQHA is recognized as a top-performing association for overall social media efforts.

The goals of AQHA's social accounts are to enhance customer service and communication with members and fans and to celebrate the fun and excitement of a lifestyle centered around American Quarter Horses.

The Association TRENDS 2016 social media rankings were recently announced, with @officialaqha named the top Instagram account and the American Quarter Horse Association placing third out of the 10 top-performing associations on overall social media.

Association TRENDS, a news organization devoted to informing association executives on essential news, developments and insights, debuted its annual social media report in 2012, with the purpose of exploring the adoption of social media and activity levels of associations. Since the report’s initial year, AQHA has placed in the top-10 ranks four times.

“We’re honored to receive this recognition for our efforts to reach members and fans through modern media,” said AQHA Manager of Online/Interactive Communications Jody Reynolds. “It’s great to have the ability to connect with hundreds of thousands of people all over the world who share in the love of the American Quarter Horse via our social networks. The Association began utilizing social media in 2008 when the  AQHA Facebook account was created. Since then, AQHA has established a presence on Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn, helping reach and connect American Quarter Horse enthusiasts around the world.

The main goals of these social accounts are to enhance customer service and communication with members and fans and to celebrate the fun and excitement of a lifestyle centered around American Quarter Horses. AQHA’s social networks regularly provide industry and AQHA news, videos, photos, contests and tips, keeping fans “in the know” on all things American Quarter Horses.

Additionally, AQHA staff stands by on Facebook during each business day and assists hundreds of customers every month through comments and private messages. This is an excellent extension of the customer service provided to valued AQHA members and fans.
