Are you an AQHA or AQHYA member headed to Washington, D.C., this fall for a congressional internship? If so, AQHA is looking to help support a congressional intern for the fall semester. You can earn up to $5,000 to help offset your living expenses during your internship.
“As a young adult interested in public policy, AQHA needs your help to support the American Quarter Horse,” said Ward Stutz, AQHA director of breed integrity. “In return, we will provide a stipend to help support you!”
It is important to have people with an equine background and knowledge on Capitol Hill to help educate members of congress on issues affecting the equine industry, specifically the American Quarter Horse and the Association’s members. Equine-related legislation currently introduced in Congress includes animal welfare, trail maintenance, horse racing, transportation and horses used in equine-assisted therapies.
