AQHA Racing Medication Awards and Publicity Policy

The American Quarter Horse Association has policies concerning awards and publicity of horses and trainers with racing medication positives for any medications on the Association of Racing Commissioners International (ARCI) Uniform Classification of Foreign Substances that is assigned a penalty of A, suspensions related to performing enhancing drugs or for conduct that could potentially impact  the outcome of a race, or for failure to report for out of competition testing.

Ineligibility Lists

Horses Ineligible for 2024 Awards and Publicity: These horses have been identified as ineligible for 2024 AQHA media coverage and awards, based on the AQHA Racing Awards and Publicity Policy. Horses marked with an asterisk (*) indicate a medication positive ruling was received for the horse and trainer. Horses marked with a double asterisk (**) indicate an owner is in violation of the Policy.  Horse List

Trainers Ineligible for 2024 Awards and Publicity: These trainers have been identified as ineligible for 2024 AQHA media coverage and awards, based on the AQHA Racing Awards and Publicity Policy. Trainers marked with an asterisk (*) indicate the trainer has a suspension carryover from a previous year.  Trainer List   

Owners Ineligible for 2024 Awards and Publicity: These owners have had rulings themselves that deem them ineligible for 2024 AQHA media coverage and awards, based on the AQHA Racing Awards and Publicity Policy. Owner List
