Pappasito Relocating to Utah

Corona Cartel stallion to stand at RM Stables.

Press Release

Pappasito will stand in Utah in 2016.

Pappasito, the sire of mulitple stakes winner Pappas In The House, will be relocating from Lazy E Ranch in Oklahoma to Ron Moosman’s RM Stables in Utah.

A Grade 3-winning 10-year-old son of Corona Cartel and champion Strawberry Silk, Pappasito is a half brother to 2001 champion 3-year-old Stoli. His other prominent runners include Pajarita Sita (earnings, $167,806), Madresita ($113,812), and Champion Huddle ($117,441).

The Moosman family currently has a new breeding farm under construction in southwestern Wyoming.

“We think this (move) is an excellent opportunity for Pappasito,” said Butch Wise of Lazy E Ranch. “The Moosmans are quality people and have a brand-spanking new facility. He couldn’t be in better hands.

“Pappasito already has two Grade 1 runners and four horses to earn more than $100,000, and he has had several black-type earners in that area,” he added. “With the success of Pappas In The House at Les Bois Park this year, there is a lot of excitement up there about Pappasito. This is a good move for this horse.”

A two-time stakes winner at Les Bois Park in 2015, Pappas In The House is scheduled to make his next start in Saturday’s Dash For Cash Futurity (G1) trials at Lone Star Park.

“We also hope that this move is seen as an endorsement of all the positive things that are happening in the Intermountain area,” Wise said. “Despite some recent setbacks in the Idaho Supreme Court, the tremendous multi-state impact of quality racing associated with the Historical Racing machines can’t be denied.

"We feel certain that racing leaders will soon be able to craft a legislative solution which will again set racing and economic development on its proper course,” he added.
