On the eve of the Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale on November 4-5, Heritage Place in Oklahoma City will host the Night of the Legends, an event begun by American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame member Ben Hudson in partnership with Heritage Place.
This year’s theme is “Legends of the Horse Sale” and will feature AQHA Executive Committee member Butch Wise and AQHA employee Robin Glenn, who created and operates Robin Glenn Pedigrees, which is now a subsidiary of AQHA.
Wise joined the AQHA Executive Committee this year. He was named an honorary AQHA vice president in 2015, and was an AQHA director from 2001 to 2015 and is currently the Executive Committee representative on the racing council. He served on the studbook and registration committee, e nominations and credentials and racing committees and the racing council. Wise owns Stone Chase Stables LLC and is the bloodstock agent and president of Wise Sales Co. Inc. His former career experience includes AQHA, Ridgeleigh Farms Inc., Mel Hatley Farms, and Cox Manufacturing.
Glenn created her company in the early 1980s, becoming the only entity that compiled American Quarter Horse (and related breeds) records of money-earning performances, including racing and showing. This innovative company offers performance, breeding and sale records, and produces major sale catalogs across the stock horse industry.
Other speakers at the event include Lowell Neumayer, Marty Powers, Keith Babb, Roger Daly, Bill Melson and Danny Green.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m. on November 3, with a pre-sale party at 5 p.m.
The sale starts at 10 a.m. on November 4 and continues on November 5.
