Red Diamond, a gelded son of Jesse James Jr and half brother to All American Futurity (G1) fastest qualifier Bigg Daddy, sold for $85,000 to top the two-day New Mexico-Bred Yearling Sale at Ruidoso Downs, which concluded on Saturday.

John Lee and Melvin Neugebauer signed the ticket for Red Diamond, who was bred and consigned by Mac and Janis Murray's MJ Farms at Veguita, New Mexico. Red Diamond is also a full brother to Astica, the AQHA champion 3-year-old filly in 2015.
