Florida Service Auction
Bid on great stallions and help fund scholarships.
January 10, 2017
Florida Quarter Horse Racing Association is pleased to announce that Tom Maher and Bob Moore Farm, Sylvia Pittman and Royal Vista Ranches, and The Wave Carver Syndicate and AVS Equine Hospital are donating a 2017 breeding for Hes Relentless, Ivory James and Wave Carver respectively to the FQHRA scholarship fund.
FQHRA has provided scholarship funds to deserving individuals connected to the horse racing industry for the last several years.
The minimum bid for Hes Relentless will be $3,500. Champion Hes Relentless (One Famous Eagle-This Dreams Flying by Strawfly Special) was a great race horse and has a very promising future as a sire. His book is closing fast so it will become difficult to get a breeding to Hes Relentless except through breedings like this one. Hes Relentless’ shipped semen is inseminated with the low dose insemination technique.
Ivory James is a well proven and leading sire from a leading family. His minimum bid is $2,500. Ivory James (Corona Cartel-Dashin Follies by Strawfly Special) is a full brother to leading sire PYC Paint Your Wagon and has himself sired the earners of more than $11.8 million, an average of more than $18,100 per starter.
Wave Carver is a world champion and millionaire, and a proven leading sire from the breeds No. 1 sire and dam. Wave Carver’s minimum bid is $2,000. The son of First Down Dash and the Runaway Winner mare Runaway Wave, Wave Carver's average earnings per starter exceeds $19,500.
You can bid on these three great stallions by sending an e-mail with your bid and contact information to email@example.com. Bidding will close Thursday January 26 at 3 p.m. (EST). FQHRA will pay for any farm fees. If you have questions, call (850) 345-4777 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (EST) Monday-Friday.
FQHRA thanks Tom Maher, who also owns track record setter Paintyourownwagon, and Bob Moore Farms for the Hes Relentless breeding. We also thank Sylvia Pittman and Royal Vista Ranches for the Ivory James breeding along with the Wave Carver Syndicate and AVS Equine Hospital for the Wave Carver breeding.
FQHRA apologizes for not holding the full 2017 FQHRA Stallion Service Auction, but we did not want to hold the auction until we had the results of the October 2016 hearing regarding the horsemen’s group representative at Hialeah for this fiscal year. We are hoping to hear something this week. As soon as we know the results FQHRA will send out press releases and emails to the Florida horsemen and breeders. Thanks again for your patience and continued support of AQHA racing in Florida and across the USA. We look forward to quickly organizing another great meet for AQHA racing in Florida very soon.
