LQHBA Yearling Sale Recap: Day Two

The three-day LQHBA Yearling Sale concludes on Saturday.

Sir EC Gray, a son of Sir Runaway Dash and a half brother to champion Open Me A Corona, sold for $75,000 on Friday, topping the second day of the three-day LQHBA Yearling Sale at Kinder, Louisiana.

Harlow Stables purchased Sir EC Gray from the consignment of Blanchet Farm LLC, agent for Montgomery Equine Center. Sir EC Gray is out of In The Open, a 13-year-old daughter of Mr Eye Opener.

Sales during the first two days of the sale have been strong. Of the 387 yearlings offered during the first two days of the sale, 305 sold for a total of $4,365,300, an increase of 48 percent from last year's $2,952,800 for 260 horses sold.
