By Martha Claussen | October 30, 2015
The Wrangler Racing Aces will be in full force for the Bank of America Challenge Championships at Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie from Thursday, November 5, through Saturday, November 7. Denis Blake and John Hernandez will host the pre-race show on Thursday evening; Martha Claussen and special guest Jonathan Horowitz will join in the festivities on Friday night and all four will be available to provide one-on-one handicapping assistance on Saturday night.
The Wrangler Racing Aces is a fan education program initiated by AQHA. Since 2010, the Racing Aces have traveled to racetracks across the country to promote the sport, provide fan education services and create excitement for "America's Fastest Athletes".
In addition to their live racing duties, the Wrangler Racing Aces will also make two appearances the Lone Star Park's state-of-the-art racing and sports bar, the Bar & Book. They will greet patrons from 2-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday with free wagering information, courtesy of AQHA. While they excel at teaching the basics to new patrons, the Racing Aces are also able to assist Thoroughbred handicappers in understanding the nuances of American Quarter Horse racing and bridging the gap between the two breeds of racehorses.
Each of the Aces have made appeared live at many of the regional championships throughout the year. Claussen was onsite at Sam Houston Race Park; Blake made the trip to Canada for the Ajax Adequan Derby and John Deere Juvenile; Hernandez is the Prairie Meadows expert and Horowitz called regional finals at both Turf Paradise and Arapahoe Park.
"We have made several visits to Lone Star this meet and know that their entire team is excited about hosting the Bank of America Challenge Championships again,” said Claussen. “Our goal for the Wrangler Racing Aces is to educate the Lone Star Park patrons about American Quarter Horse racing and to pick plenty of winners throughout the action-packed weekend!"
The Wrangler Racing Aces will offer FREE tip sheets for Thursday and Friday's races. Saturday's sheet will include analysis of each of the six Bank of America Challenge Championship races on Saturday night.
