James First Affair Tops Bank of America Emerald Challenge Qualifiers
The Oklahoma-bred 4-year-old set the fastest trial time on Saturday.

James First Affair is the fastest qualifier to the August 21, $54,000 Bank of America Emerald Challenge Championship at Emerald Downs.
Ridden by Nakia Ramirez, James First Affair won the first of two 440-yard trials in :21.926 on Saturday. Mark Hanson trained the Oklahoma-bred 4-year-old Ivory James stallion for ownerrs Robin D. Dunn, Larry Chapple, and RTM Stables LLC.
James First Affair was bred by Tom Bradbury and Kim A. Kessinger. The stallion has won eight of 20 starts, including last year's Bitterroot Derby (R) at Les Bois Park, and he has banked $87,822.
