Tallulah Moon is Morning-Line Choice in Merial California Distaff Challenge

The 4-year-old gray mare draws post 3 for Saturday's $30,600 stakes at Los Alamitos.

A field of nine fillies and mares has been entered in Saturday's 400-yard, $30,600 Merial California Distaff Challenge at Los Alamitos.

Tallulah Moon, a 4-year-old Corona Cartel mare trained by Paul Jones for owner Fulton Quien Sabe Ranches LP, is one of nine fillies and mares entered in Saturday's 400-yard, $30,600 Merial California Distaff Challenge Stakes at Los Alamitos.

Los Alamitos track announcer and morning-line maker Ed Burgart has made Tallulah Moon the 5-2 morning-line favorite. The mare prepped for this start with a neck victory in a 330-yard allowance dash on July 10.

Tallulah Moon drew post 3 and will be ridden by Oscar Peinado.

The winner of this race will earn a berth in the October 29, Grade 1 Merial Distaff Challenge Championship at Los Alamitos. The complete lineup, in post position order including jockey assignments and morning-line odds:
