Executive Trust, a 5-year-old gray son of Executive Menace racing for Sherree Meridyth, will look to begin a new win streak in Sunday’s 870-yard, $50,000 AQHA Albuquerque Distance Challenge Stakes (G3) at Albuquerque Downs.

Trained by Guadalupe Munoz Jr., Executive Trust began his 2015 season with a second-place finish, 4 1/2 lengths behind fastest qualifier Streakin Zoomer, in the second of two trials on July 9. The gelding ended his 4-year-old campaign with a three-race win streak, all against stakes company.

Executive Trust drew the rail post and will be ridden by Ry Eikleberry.

The 3-1 morning-line favorite, Streakin Zoomer is a 7-year-old Shazoom stallion trained by Martin Orona Sr. for owner Alejandro Arzabala Jr. Streakin Zoomer has won four of his 12 starts at the 870-yard distance, and his season record includes a second-place finish to Rylees Bud in the 440-yard, $100,000 Bank of America Sunland Championship Challenge (G2) at Sunland Park on April 16.

Alejandro Medellin will ride Streakin Zoomer from post 3 on Sunday. Other contenders include Louis Howard’s Jessa Little Rusty, the winner of the 870-yard, $50,000 Remington Distance Championship (G2) at Remington Park on June 4. A 6-year-old Mr Jess Perry gelding trained by John Stinebaugh, Jessa Little Rusty drew post 4 and will be ridden by Glen Murphy.

The AQHA Albuquerque Distance Challenge will be the featured sixth race on Albuquerque Downs’ 10-race program on Sunday. Estimated post time for the stakes is 3:35 p.m. (MDT).

The winner of this race will earn a starting berth in the October 29, $150,000 AQHA Distance Challenge Championship (G1) at Los Alamitos. The complete lineup, in post position order including jockey assignments and morning-line odds:
