Fastest Qualifier Runningallnight Draws Post 5 for John Deere Ruidoso Juvenile Challenge

The Stel Corona colt is the 5-2 morning-line favorite for Saturday's $59,850 stakes.

A full field of 10 2-year-olds, headed by fastest qualifier and 5-2 morning-line favorite Runningallnight, has been entered back in Saturday's 350-yard, $59,850 John Deere Ruidoso Juvenile Challenge (G3) at Ruidoso Downs.

Trained by Jose Luis Galvez for owner Dalia F. Aranda, Runningallnight is undefeated in two starts, and the gray son of Stel Corona is coming off of a neck victory in the fourth of six Ruidoso Juvenile Challenge trials on July 14. The California-bred colt was a $14,000 yearling purchase at last year's Los Alamitos Equine Sale.

Runningallnight drew post 5 and will be ridden by Raul Herrera. His nine opponents include Dancing Red Head, a sorrel daughter of Red Storm Cat trained by Kasey Willis for owners Connie L. Young and John Herrick. A $6,500 buy at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale, the filly raced at Remington Park last spring, where she scored a half-length victory iin a 250-yard, $16,000 maiden-special-weight dash on May 20.

Dancing Red Head drew post 8 and will be ridden by Benito Baca.
