Fields Set for Sun Downs Challenge Stakes

Two sets of trials were held at the Kennewick, Washington track this weekend.

Two sets of Bank of America Racing Challenge trials were contested April 21-22 at Sun Downs.

The fields were set this weekend for two Bank of America Racing Challenge regional stakes at Sun Downs in Kennewick, Washington.

On Saturday, Ruben Magallanes' Corona B Gone set the fastest qualifying time to the May 5, $20,000-added Adequan Sun Downs Derby Challenge. Ridden by Ruben Lozano for trainer Hector Magallanes, Corona B Gone won the first of two 400-yard trials by one length from fourth-fastest qualifier L Bar D Razle Dazle in :20.323.

On Sunday, Tickle Ur Fancy set the fastest qualifying time to the May 6, $13,000-added AQHA Sun Downs Distaff Challenge. Ridden by Eduardo Gutierrez-Sosa for owner Hayden Brothers Ranch and trainer Hector Magallanes, the 5-year-old Dominyun mare won the second of two 400-yard heats by a half of a length in :20.028.
