Fields Set for John Deere California, Evergreen Park Juvenile Challenge Finals

Trials held on Saturday have determined the fields for the John Deere California Juvenile Challenge at Los Alamitos and John Deere Evergreen Park Juvenile Challenge at Evergreen Park at Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada.

Stevieb Flashofcash is the fastest qualifier to the California Juvenile Challenge, as the gelded son of champion First Moonflash won the first of two 350-yard trials. Ridden by Jose Nicasio for owner Five Livestock Company LLC and trainer Monty Arrossa, Stevieb Flashofcash defeated second-fastest qualifier Cole Man 47 by a neck in :17.755. The gelding was winning for the third time in as many starts while making his first start since May 6.

Stevieb Flashofcash was bred in Utah by Two Feathers Series LLC, and he was an $18,500 yearling buy at last year's Los Alamitos Equine Sale.

Charles G. Stojan's Always Right won the second of two 350-yard Evergreen Park Juvenile Challenge trials by a neck from second-fastest qualifier Ifarm in :17.755. Ricardo Moreno rode the daughter of Stel Corona for trainer William Leech.

Always Right was bred in California by Edward Allred. Stojan acquired the filly for $26,000 at last year's Los Alamitos Equine Sale.
