On Saturday, the field was set for the August 18, $30,000-added John Deere Retama Juvenile Challenge.

Wii B, a son of the Valiant Hero stallion Mighty B Valiant owned by Arturo Ibarra, on Saturday posted the fastest qualifying time to the August 18, $30,000-added John Deere Retama Juvenile Challnege Stakes.

Racing in the third of five trials at Retama Park, Wii B defeated fourth-fastest qualifier Jess Leaving Fast by three-quarters of a length while covering 350 yards in :17.675. Eddie Sanchez rode the sorrel gelding for trainer Elpidio Luna.

Wii B was bred in Texas by Bielau Oaks. A $7,500 buy at last year's TQHA Yearling Sale, he is out of Devil Wears Prada B, a winning homebred 7-year-old daughter of champion Fdd Dynasty.

Wii B has won two of four starts and has earned $6,920 while racing exclusively in Texas.
