Aces in Ruidoso During All American Weekend

Racing Aces Martha Claussen and Denis Blake will attend All American weekend.

Denis Blake and Martha Claussen will visit Ruidoso Downs on Sunday, August 31, and Monday, September 1, on behalf of the Racing Aces, a fan education program initiated by AQHA. Since 2010, the Q-Racing Aces have traveled to racetracks across the country to promote the sport, provide fan education services and create excitement for "America's Fastest Athletes".

The Q-Racing Aces will join track announcer Robert Fox on his pre-race show to offer their analysis of the Sunday and Monday races at Ruidoso Downs, They will discuss each of the finalists in the All American Derby (G1) and the All American Futurity (G1). On both days, Blake and Claussen will greet fans at their information kiosk adjacent to the Ruidoso Downs main entrance and program stand. They will have  free wagering information, courtesy of the AQHA and be available to answer any questions on American Quarter Horse racing.

“This will be our fifth appearance at Ruidoso Downs for the prestigious All American Derby and Futurity," said Claussen, who serves as coordinator for the Racing Aces. "Denis and I are looking forward to interacting with fans throughout the exciting weekend."

The Aces will also compete in the final leg of the Racing Aces Summer Showdown contest this weekend, making win/place handicapping selections from stakes at Ruidoso Downs, Prairie Meadows and Canterbury Park. Blake and Claussen will square off with fellow Aces Jennifer Hancock, John Hernandez and Jen Perkins for the overall champion title in the challenge, which began on July 4th weekend and with culminate with the All American Futurity on Labor Day. Hernandez, who had the big hit with Trendi ($91.20/$21.60) in the Rainbow Futurity (G1) in the second round, remains the overall leader in the five-week competition.
