Beehive Stallion Service Auction Underway

Live auction is set for January 10.

Offspring of stallions with services sold in the auction will be eligible for the Beehive Futurity.

Bidding on Facebook has begun for the Utah Quarter Horse Racing Association's (UQHA) annual Beehive Stallion Service Auction, scheduled for January 10, 2015.

"We have a great selection of stallions this year and we would like to say a big thank you to all the stallion owners/farms that donated their stallions to the Beehive Stallion Auction," Jeannie Hullinger UQHA Racing Secretary said.

"Our continued success for the Utah Beehive Futurity is because of the great support we have at our auction. The 2015 Beehive Futurity is $25,000 added and it will be $30,000 added in 2016," she added.

Offspring of all stallions who have a service sold in the auction will become eligible for the 2018 Beehive Futurity.

Bidding is available on the Beehive Stallion Auction Facebook page until January 8.

The live auction begins January 10 at 6:00 p.m. (MST). Bidders that want to make sure they are the final bidder can call Hullinger no later than noon (MST) January 10 to be put on a call list. Auction personnel will call back before their stallions of interest come up for bidding.

"We will call online bidders to ensure they still have a chance to outbid anyone at the live auction," Hullinger said.
