All 2016 foals sired by the eligible stallions can be nominated for the 2018 Minnesota Stallion Breeders’ Futurity, which is a $10,000-added minimum race, with a $2,000 stallion owner award and $2,000 breeder award. A minimum of $5,000 additional in breeders money will be awarded to horses bred and foaled in Minnesota with papers stamped by the Minnesota Racing Commission.

In 2014, Broken Heart Ranch of Firesteel, South Dakota, won the $28,300 Minnesota Stallion Breeders’ Futurity (R) with homebred BHR Guys Flash Me. The horse was trained by Bob Johnson and ridden by Jake Olesiak, and was sired by the Minnesota-bred CS Flashlight, himself a four-time stakes winner during his racing career.

Any buyers interested in a particular stallion that is not listed is encouraged to contact either MQHRA or the stallion owner for inclusion in the sale.
