Ivory James Filly Tops RP Wednesday Schooling Races

Specials Jaime posts the top time in Wednesday's schooling races at Remington.

Remington Park opens its meet March 7.

Remington Park hosted 13 schooling races on Wednesday, with all of the 250-yard schooling races running in to a headwind.

The top time was posted by A.C. Taylor’s homebred filly Specials Jaime. Taylor is from Seminole, Oklahoma.

The filly by Ivory James and out of the Make It Anywhere mare Special Anywhere won the second race with a time of :13.55. She was ridden under a hand ride to defeat an improving Curl Del Rey by a half length.

Specials Jaime is a half sister to Grade 3-winner Specials Gold (by Voghts Gold, $106,959) and stakes-placed runner and Grade 1 finalist Specialscountrychick (by Country Chicks Man, $108,966).

The next fastest time of :13.61 was shared by the winners of the fifth and 13th schooling races – Ivory Money and PYC My Wagon, respectively.

Ivory Money is owned by David Clonts of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and was bred by Preston and Karen Cloud of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She is by Ivory James and out of the Strawfly Special mare Makin Me Money.

The filly overcame a slight bumping at the gate and was hand-ridden to a head win over Im A Fancy PYC.

Ivory Money’s dam is a half sister to stakes winner Makin Fast Cash (by Rakin In The Cash, $25,249).

PYC My Wagon was hand ridden to a neck win in the 13th schooling race. The gelding is an unraced 3-year-old. He was bred by Randy Hill and Kendrix Bros. of Altus, Oklahoma, and is owned by Hill and Bobby Hammer of Lexington, Oklahoma.

The gelding is by PYC Paint Your Wagon and out of the stakes-placed Shazoom mare Parr For Shazoom.
