Los Al's Track Gets Positive Reviews

Newly rennovated track gets positive reviews from Thoroughbred horsemen.

Thoroughbreds are joining Los Alamitos for training on the new, expanded surface.

The newly arrived trainers and Thoroughbreds now housed at Los Alamitos Race Course have begun training horses on a daily basis at the "new" mile track in Orange County and the reviews have been very positive.

Horsemen like Hall of Famer Bob Baffert, Breeders' Cup winning trainer Mike Puype, trainer of  Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint winner Mizdirection,  and Carl O'Callaghan  have already sent their charges to train over the new surface. Trainers also expressed their like for the new track via Twitter:

Baffert @Midnightlute: "Los Alamitos new surface is really awesome. Great move to go there."

O'Callaghan added “@carlocallaghan1: Track has been awesome great cushion, horses getting over it beautiful turns are nice it's a good good here"

Paul Aguirre Racing @ PaulGAguirre: "Came into my barn at #Los Alamitos this morning to freshly blacktopped wash racks. Management continues to improve the barn area daily!" and "Los Alamitos main track is getting better every day. Very nicely done. Gotta feeling that this is where you want to be. Well done, Los Al!"

Jockey Chantal Sutherland added @jockeychantal: “At Los Alamitos this morning and it's beautiful!!! Can't hear the horses going by just the flapping of the saddle towels. #greatsurfice”

Under the watch of Mike Marlow, Bob Baffert's barn worked three sets last Tuesday at Los Al headed by Patriot's Voyage (:48.3/5) and the promising War Academy (:49 3/5).
