South Dakota Condition Books Available

Two South Dakota tracks will host racing beginning in April.

Racing in South Dakota will be hosted at Fort Pierre and Aberdeen.

South Dakota’s two racetracks, Fort Pierre and Brown County Fair in Aberdeen, have released their conditions and stakes books for 2014.

The five-day Fort Pierre meet will take place April 19, 26-27, and May 3-4. There will be no racing conducted on Easter Sunday, April 20. The Fort Pierre meet will feature four Quarter Horse stakes, topped by the 250-yard, $5,000-added Fort Pierre South Dakota-Bred Futurity (R) on May 3. The 250-yard, $4,500-added Fort Pierre South Dakota-Bred Derby (R) will be run on closing day, May 4.

The six-day Brown County Fair season will be conducted May 10-11, 17-18, and 25-26. The track’s four Quarter Horse stakes include the 300-yard, $7,000-added Aberdeen South Dakota-Bred Futurity (R) on closing day.
