Late Noms for AA Gold Cup Due Aug. 1

All American Gold Cup will feature a $200,000 purse and Grade 1 status, plus a Champion of Champions invitation.

Press Release

The late nomination deadline for the All American Gold Cup is August 1.

The next opportunity to nominate to the revamped Grade 1, $200,000 All American Gold Cup at Ruidoso Downs is on August 1.

The 440-yard All American Gold Cup also offers an invitation to the Grade 1, $750,000 Champion of Champions on December 13 at Los Alamitos to the winner.

After having a $40,000 purse last year, the All American Gold Cup received Grade 1 status and the Champion of Champions invitation after the purse was boosted to $200,000 guaranteed earlier this year.

The All American Gold Cup will be run over 440 yards for 3-year-old and older horses on August 30, the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. It is followed on Sunday with the Grade 1, $2 million (est.) All American Derby – which also carries a Champion of Champions invitation – and the Grade 1, $2.6 million All American Futurity on Monday.

The August 1 late nomination fee is $3,500. Then a time-of-entry fee of $5,000 is due.

There is also a time-of-entry supplemental fee of $10,000, which includes all fees.

The All American Gold Cup winner receives $100,000. The race pays through 10 places with seventh through 10th places paying $5,000.

Entry preference is by money earned in 2013-14.
