Remington Winners Rise in Poll

Lovethewayyoulie, Bon Accord make big moves in the poll.

Q-Racing Journal

This past weekend's race results proved influential in the poll rankings.

Saturday’s “Mega-Card” of stakes at Remington Park made quite an impression on pollsters in this week’s AQHA National Polls, as leading juvenile and older-horse campaigners moved near the top of their respective rankings.

Heritage Place Futurity (G1) winner Lovethewayyoulie skyrocketed to No. 2 among the 2-year-olds, while Remington Park Invitational Championship (G1) victor Bon Accord assumed the No. 2 spot among the 3-year-old-and-older set.

The divisional leader among the juveniles continues to be Kiss My Hocks, fastest qualifier to this weekend’s Ruidoso Futurity (G1) and already winner of the Sam Houston Futurity (G2) on the young season. Kiss My Hocks held a narrow 105-103 lead in balloting this week for the No. 1 spot over the fast-rising Lovethewayyoulie. Paint Me Perry, who has spent some time atop the 2-year-old poll this season, held down the No. 3 spot.

Nellie Delaney, heroine of the Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1), continued her reign atop the 3-year-old-and-older division for the 14th consecutive week. The gap tightened some, 103-94, as Bon Accord offered the most recent statement in the division.
