Nellie Delaney leads the AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com National Poll.

Remington Park’s opening weekend took little time to influence the national polls, as two of its initial stakes winners of the season entered this week’s AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com National Poll.

Sunday’s $52,700 Eastex Stakes (G2) winner, Somethin Like This, entered the rankings at No. 8, while Sunday’s $77,000 Mighty Deck Three Stakes (R) winner, JB James, who defeated champion 3-year-old Feature Hero, checked in at No. 10.
The poll, restricted to horses who have started at least once so far in 2014, was led for the second straight week by Nellie Delaney, heroine of the Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1). TF Featured Effort, already a two-time stakes winner in 2014, remained No. 2 this week after debuting in that spot March 5.
National rankings for the 2-year-olds will debut later in the spring. The AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com Poll is released every Wednesday of the season from March through the end of the calendar year.
