Yavapai Downs Not Likely to Open This Year

Arizona track hasn’t held live racing since 2010.

It appears that Yavapai Downs will remain dark for at least another year.

According to an article in The Daily Courier of Prescott, Arizona, it is unlikely that Yavapai Downs will reopen for racing this year. The track has not held live racing since 2010.

Gary Miller, a former president of the Arizona HBPA, bought the track in 2013 in bankruptcy court and has been working to arrange financing to re-open the facility.
