'Kiss' Gets Second Stay at No. 1

Talented youngster heads to No. 1 spot in racing poll.

Q-Racing Journal

Kiss My Hocks sits atop this week's juvenile poll.

Kiss My Hocks returned to the No. 1 spot in this week's AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com National Poll for 2-year-olds after setting the fastest qualifying time for the $700,000 Ruidoso Futurity (G1). The Sam Houston Futurity (G2) champ ran his record to 3-for-3 and reclaimed the poll's top perch from Paint Me Perry.

This Saturday's $1,020,980 Heritage Place Futurity (G1) at Remington Park will give Paint Me Perry a chance to restate his case immediately. The closing weekend feature in Oklahoma City also boasts this week's No. 3-ranked juvenile, Im A Fancy PYC, in an early season showdown.

As for the older horses, Nellie Delaney continued her 13th week at No. 1 on the strength of her Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1) score. Rock You moved into the poll at No. 9 this week, following his $943,127 Ruidoso Derby (G1) trial victory, his third on the season in as many tries.
