'Battle' Continues in Poll

Rattle N Battle hits the racing poll.

Q-Racing Journal

Rattle N Battle was the new face in this week's AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com National Poll for 2-year-olds, but it's the battle at the top that continues to rage. Pollsters torn between leading juveniles Kiss My Hocks, winner of the Ruidoso Futurity (G1), and JM Miracle, victor of the All American Futurity (G1), have taken another turn in the direction of the former. Kiss My Hocks regained the No. 1 ranking this week in narrow balloting.

As for Rattle N Battle, his score Saturday in the Dash For Cash Futurity (G1) at Lone Star Park marked his first major victory and earned him a spot at No. 8 in this week's poll for 2-year-olds.

There were no major changes to the rankings for the 3-year-old-and-older division. Bon Accord, winner of the Go Man Go Handicap (G1), maintained the top perch for the fourth-straight week. He's pursued by 3-year-old upstart Moonist, who has won 9-of-10, including four derby finals this season.
