Moonist Moves Up Poll

Moonist collects another stakes win and moves up the poll.

Q-Racing Journal

Moonist is high in the racing poll.

Super sophomore Moonist is only one race away from a perfect campaign this year, and now just one spot away from the top spot in the latest AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com National Poll for older horses. He advanced to 9-for-10 on the year following Friday's PCQHRA Breeders’ Derby at Los Alamitos, his track-record fourth Derby finals win of the season.

Moonist rose two spots from No. 4 and landed just behind top-ranked Bon Accord for the nation's leading perch among 3-year-old and older horses. Bon Accord claimed the top spot following his September 21 victory in the Go Man Go Handicap (G1) at Los Alamitos and enjoyed his third week at No. 1.

As for the 2-year-olds, All American Futurity (G1) winner JM Miracle maintains a 98-97 edge over Ruidoso Futurity (G1) hero Kiss My Hocks for top poll billing. The juvenile rankings welcomed a newcomer this week at No. 8 after BF Farm Boss won for the fifth time in seven tries by taking the PCQHRA Breeders' Futurity (G2) at Los Al.
