Hernandez Wins Aces Summer Showdown

Racing Aces conclude their handicapping showdown.

The Racing Aces gave out hundreds of dollars in wins during their handicapping contest.

The Racing Aces Summer Handicapping Showdown featured Racing Aces Denis Blake, Martha Claussen, Jennifer Hancock, John Hernandez and Jen Perkins competing in a five-week contest, which began in July. 

During each of those weekends, the Aces were asked to select winners of five key American Quarter Horse racing events at tracks across the country. The Ace with the highest win/place earnings was honored as the weekly winner with the overall champion crowned at the over Labor Day weekend.
 
In the final contest, Ace Jen Perkins correctly selected BP Cartels Policy in the Iowa Double Gold Futurity (RG2) and runner-up Five Bar Cartel in the All American Derby (G1) to finish the week as the leader with $20.80.  
 
John Hernandez, who had the big hit with Trendi ($91.20/$21.60) in the Rainbow Futurity (G1) in the second round, took top overall honors in the five-week competition.
 
Since its inception in 2010, the Racing Aces have made trips to racetracks across North America to promote American Quarter Horse racing and teach fans of all levels how to handicap the races. The Aces have also hosted live Facebook chats, co-hosted handicapping shows, appeared on TVG's telecast of the All American Futurity and continue to offer and timely social media updates on trials and major racing championships.
 
The Racing Aces will appear at racetracks across the country offering fan education services. Upcoming visits include:
